Full Stack Java ISO Team

Strategic Staffing Solutions International’s client is a leading global investment bank and financial services firm, known for working with top companies, governments, and institutions. With a strong worldwide presence, they focus on investment banking, markets, asset management, and consumer finance.

They are seeking an experienced and independent Software Engineer to join their Engineering teams (Payments / Electronic Trading) on a 6–12 month hybrid contract in Warsaw (4 days office / 1 day remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve production issues in high-performance trading or payments systems
• Build automation tools and improve operational efficiency
• Develop and enhance Java/Python-based microservices and APIs
• Work with SWIFT / ISO20022 messaging or trading platforms
• Support CI/CD, releases, and monitoring improvements
• Collaborate with global engineering, infrastructure, and business teams

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong skills in Java (11/17/21), Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, DB2
• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of MongoDB and data modelling
• Experience with Maven, Docker, and RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of microservices / distributed systems
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred)
• Linux and production support experience

• IBM MQ / JMS (queue managers, channels)
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• ISO 20022 / SWIFT / CBPR+ / FIN
• Python scripting
• Angular
• Experience in financial services / payments / banking tech
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in global teams
• Commercial mindset with strong focus on code quality
• Strong communication skills, ownership, and proactive attitude
