PH Tax Analyst
Job Description:
• Provide Philippine tax compliance support for CPI and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and file Philippine withholding tax, VAT, and income tax returns.
• Review invoices for tax compliance, BIR requirements, and appropriate tax tagging.
• Secure business and government permit applications and renewals.
• Provide day-to-day tax guidance and escalate complex matters.
• Support tax refund claims and related documentation.
• Support tax audits, reconciliations, and responses to information requests.
• Monitor Philippine tax developments and communicate required updates.
• Share tax and compliance updates with relevant teams.
• Maintain and monitor tax compliance controls.
• Monitor tax-related account reconciliations and unresolved items.
• Prepare quarterly reports on open and unreconciled items.
• Review tax requirements for vendor onboarding.
• Coordinate tax compliance matters with CPI, advisers, and government agencies.
• Administrative and Coordination Responsibilities
o Participate and collaborate in corporate initiatives and conferences.
o Participate in special projects and staff meetings.
o Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management.
o Participate in professional development activities, including relevant training and engagement with industry counterparts.
o Manage relationships with external service providers, other business units, and vendors.
o Coordinate the review, approval, and execution of service agreements with internal clients and external service providers, as applicable.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field;
• Demonstrated experience in Philippine tax compliance, accounting, audit, or a related finance function, including the preparation of tax returns and supporting reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of Philippine tax regulations and compliance requirements, including VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, invoicing, registration, and record-retention requirements.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with various stakeholders and teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a strong interest in learning and applying digital tools and technologies.
• Experience using SAP for financial transactions, account analysis, reporting, or related tax compliance activities
• Experience and knowledge in digital tools and other technology systems is an advantage
