Job/Role Description:
- Support post-trade operations for Equities Sales and Trading desks, helping ensure accurate and efficient trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, and risk management.
- Partner with internal teams and external parties to support the booking and settlement of equity trades and maintain accurate books and records.
- Work directly with custodians, issuers, and external brokers to resolve issues related to settlement instructions, trade settlement, and outstanding cash or stock breaks.
- Investigate daily operational exceptions and inquiries to identify root causes and determine appropriate resolutions.
- Review exceptions within internal books and records, resolve discrepancies, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Support reconciliation activities and help identify and resolve cash, position, and trade-related breaks.
- Maintain a strong focus on operational risk, controls, and accuracy throughout the trade lifecycle.
- Analyze existing processes and procedures to identify opportunities to reduce operational risk and eliminate repetitive or inefficient work.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to help achieve strong operational and client service outcomes.
- Assist with small projects and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Manage multiple processing deadlines throughout the day while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong attention to detail with a risk-conscious and control-focused mindset.
- Ability to present complex information in a clear, structured, and concise manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
