Financial Analyst

Location:  Detroit, MI (Hybrid)
Duration:  12 Month Contract

Job Summary:

Performs business financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, financial analysis, and supports regulatory filings.

Accountabilities:

• Analyze cost data to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities to improve financial performance
• Reports and analyzes business performance including producing variance reports. Compare actual results to budget/forecast/historical actuals.
• Provide recommendations and feedback to business partners on financial performance
• Use continuous improvement to improve processes
• Ad hoc reports and dashboards
• Other reporting or analytical duties

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Ability to communicate and present information (written/oral)
• Develop, revise and maintain Excel spreadsheets, word documents, PowerPoints
• Analytical, Critical Thinking, Time/Work management
• Ability to foster business relationships
• Understanding of Accounting Operations
• Knowledge of Budgets/Forecasts

Preferred but not required:

• Basic understanding of PowerBI
• Experience using SAP and SAP Business Warehouse
