Lead DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Lead DevOps Engineer

Location: Plano, TX or Richmond, VA

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: $70/HR (W2 Only)

Job/Role Description:

  • Support enterprise DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives within a large-scale technology environment.
  • Develop, support, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and associated DevOps processes.
  • Work extensively with Jenkins and related continuous integration and continuous delivery technologies.
  • Support SRE practices with a focus on system observability, reliability, and operational readiness.
  • Participate in on-call support and respond to production issues as needed.
  • Support incident management and troubleshooting efforts within the technology operations environment.
  • Apply software engineering fundamentals to troubleshoot, support, and improve applications and infrastructure.
  • Work with development environments and IDEs and demonstrate an understanding of programming concepts.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other technical teams to maintain reliable production systems.
  • Help ensure systems and applications are prepared for production deployment and ongoing operational support.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on DevOps experience supporting enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins.
  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts and practices.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring of production systems.
  • Experience supporting or participating in on-call rotations.
  • Experience with incident management and production troubleshooting.
  • Software engineering experience with an understanding of programming concepts and development environments/IDEs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Plano, TX or Richmond, VA.
  • Must complete the required technical assessment as part of the interview process.
