Job Summary
The Materials Management Advisor (Material Coordination) is accountable for establishing systematic material planning and coordination processes following OMS and Materials Management common processes.
This role is responsible for working with Line stakeholders to compile demand for materials in support of ongoing activities and coordinating work with procurement and other Materials Management teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of materials to meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish systematic material planning and coordination processes in alignment with OMS and Materials Management common processes.
- Work closely with Line stakeholders to identify and compile material demand requirements.
- Coordinate material requirements in support of ongoing business and field activities.
- Partner with Procurement teams to ensure materials are sourced and delivered according to business requirements.
- Collaborate with other Materials Management teams to coordinate material availability and delivery.
- Monitor material requirements and coordinate activities to support timely and accurate delivery.
- Identify potential material shortages, delays, or coordination issues and work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve them.
- Maintain effective communication with Line stakeholders, Procurement, and Materials Management teams regarding material requirements and delivery status.
- Support consistent and effective material planning processes across assigned activities.
- Ensure material coordination activities align with established OMS and Materials Management processes.
- Perform other related duties as required to support material planning and coordination activities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in materials management, material coordination, supply chain, procurement, logistics, or a related field.
- Experience working with business or field stakeholders to determine material requirements.
- Strong understanding of material planning and coordination processes.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Procurement and Materials Management teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple material requirements and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure material requirements are accurate and delivered on time.
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite environment in Houston, TX.
