Job Summary
The Third-Party Risk Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to third-party/vendor risk management. This role is responsible for defining project scope, developing and managing timelines, coordinating resources, tracking deliverables, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within established standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead third-party risk projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery of defined objectives and milestones.

  • Define project scope, deliverables, objectives, and success measures in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, timelines, and resource requirements.

  • Manage project resources, including staffing, budgets, tools, and other required resources.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Coordinate and communicate with senior management, project teams, and business stakeholders regarding project status and deliverables.

  • Establish project documentation, reporting, and governance processes to ensure information is accurately maintained and secured.

  • Review project deliverables and work quality to ensure compliance with established standards.

  • Manage project team members, including participation in interviewing, selection, and resource allocation.

  • Maintain project schedules and adjust priorities and resources as business needs change.

  • Evaluate completed projects and provide recommendations for process improvements and future initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Experience managing projects involving third-party risk, vendor risk, or financial services risk management.

  • Proven ability to manage complex project timelines, deliverables, and competing priorities.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

  • PMP certification preferred.
